Bobby Yazdani
Chairman and CEO
Bobby Yazdani is the driving force behind the Saba vision, products, and market direction. He founded Saba in 1997 and took the company public in 2000. Today, Saba, headquartered in Redwood Shores, Calif., is the leading provider of Human Capital Development and Management solutions.
Among the Global 2000, Saba customers include Allianz Group, DaimlerChrysler, EDS, Procter & Gamble, Medtronic, Anheuser-Busch, Ford Motor Company, Continental Airlines, Cisco Systems, EMC Corp., and VERITAS Software.
In 2001, Yazdani was named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Based on his leadership and vision, InformationWeek ranked Saba #27 on its Innovation 100 list and Computerworld named Saba to its list of 100 Emerging Companies to Watch in 2001.
Yazdani is a frequent spokesperson at industry events held by such prestigious organizations as the United Nations and The Economist. He has written numerous technical and business papers including: "Human Capital Development and Management: The Next Generation of Virtual Integration Across the Extended Enterprise."
Prior to founding Saba, Yazdani served as Senior Director at Oracle Corporation. Previously, he held various senior management positions leading the product development teams for Oracle Context and numerous generations of Oracle's core database products.
Yazdani has a BA in Applied Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley.
Amar Dhaliwal
Senior Vice President, Product Operations Group
Amar has been with Saba since May 2005. He was a co-founder and CTO of Thinq, which was acquired by Saba in 2005. During his tenure here, Amar has guided our technology direction and has demonstrated strong leadership skills managing our engineering team.
Amar has more than ten years of Human Capital Management (HCM) and enterprise software experience - as well as a track record of supporting a strong customer focus. Prior to his technology career, Amar worked for a number of Management Consulting organizations advising customers on a variety of technology and business initiatives. He remains a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and holds an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics.
Tim Ringo
Global Leader, Human Capital Management
Tim Ringo is the Global Leader of IBM's Human Capital Management (HCM) consulting practice, and is based in London. He has overall responsibility for more than 2000 HCM professionals around the world whose focus is helping clients enable enterprise innovation and performance through improved workforce effectiveness.
Tim's primary focus is to help clients create workforce and enterprise transformation through implementation of integrated human capital lifecycle strategy, processes and technologies. "Enterprises that link the individual's performance objectives to overall strategic objectives and align learning, collaboration, workforce and talent management to these objectives, are typically the top performers in their industry," he explains. "This is where we focus IBM's tools/assets, expertise and services to help our clients become industry leaders."
Tim joined IBM Global Business Services in 2006 after 16 years at Accenture, where he was Executive Partner in Accenture's Human Performance Service Line. He brings a wealth of experience in defining and successfully implementing large scale Human Capital programmes that produce measurable results for clients. He has successfully implemented HCM solutions across most industries, including financial services, communications, high tech, industrial and travel and transportation and in most geographies, including the Americas, Europe and many parts of Asia.
Tim began his career in Human Capital Management in 1992, in the Columbus, Ohio office of Andersen Consulting, as one of the early team members of the Change Management Practice. He relocated to London in 1997, where he lives today with his family. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Tim graduated from The Ohio State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. He also studied English Literature at Ohio State and New College, Oxford, England.
Carol Rozwell
Vice President and Distinguished Analyst, Gartner
As a vice president and distinguished analyst on Gartner's Collaboration and Social Software team, Ms. Rozwell explores best practices for using technology to enhance learning, collaboration and social networks. Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Rozwell focused her research on technology and standards for R&D productivity in life sciences. She joined Gartner during the e-business frenzy and helped clients electrify their business processes. She brings to her role extensive practical experience as an implementer of buy-side and sell-side e-commerce systems that is augmented by positions in marketing, consulting and strategic alliance management.
Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Rozwell worked at Premenos, where her marketing and business development efforts significantly contributed to its expansion from a private to a public company. Before that, she worked at Digital Equipment on customer and supplier e-commerce programs, where she developed her common-sense approach to business-to-business communication. During her tenure with Digital Equipment, she actively championed standards efforts at the national level to update the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards architecture. Ms. Rozwell is a founding member of the New England Electronic Commerce User Group (NEECOM).
Coco Yackley
Human Capital CIO, Intel Corporation
Coco Yackley is the Human Capital CIO within Intel’s global Information Technology organization. Ms Yackley blends together the HR needs of Intel’s global workforce with leading edge information technology. She uses her change-agent approach to lead corporate-wide transformations where the introduction of new technology profoundly changes the pace and business processes for business success. Her recent focus has been on enabling managers to have the necessary suite of information to hire, develop and retain the best and brightest in the high tech industry.
Ms. Yackley has been with Intel for over 20 years in a variety of positions spanning Sales, Marketing, HR, Manufacturing and most recently IT. Throughout her career, her personal passion has been on enabling people to achieve great things through the use of personal computing. Prior to Intel, she was with an Automatic Test Equipment manufacturer – a supplier of Intel’s. Her degree is in Computer Engineering from M.I.T. with additional course work at Sloan School of Management and Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. [She also enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities.]
Professor Robert Cross Ph.D.
Professor of Management, University of Virginia and Director of The Network Roundtable
Dr. Rob Cross is an assistant professor of management at the University of Virginia where he is director of The Network Roundtable, a consortium of 45 organizations sponsoring research on network applications to critical management issues. His research focuses on how relationships and informal networks in organizations can be analyzed and improved to promote competitive advantage, organizational flexibility, innovation, customer retention and profitability, leadership effectiveness, talent management and quality of work life.
Rob has worked directly with more than 80 strategically important networks across a wide range of well-known organizations in consulting, pharmaceuticals, software, electronics and computer manufacturers, consumer products, financial services, petroleum, heavy equipment manufacturing, chemicals, and government. Ideas emerging from his research have resulted in two books, four book chapters and 23 articles, several of which have won awards. In addition to top scholarly outlets, his work has been published in Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, Academy of Management Executive and Organizational Dynamics. His most recent book, The Hidden Power of Social Networks (Harvard Business School Press), has been featured in venues such as The Financial Times, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, CIO, Inc and Fast Company. Rob holds a PhD from Boston University and a BS and MBA from the University of Virginia.
Zach Thomas
Senior Analyst, Forrester Research
Zach Thomas, Senior Analyst with Forrester Research serves Business Process & Applications professionals. He focuses on the processes, strategies, and tools that help organizations hire, engage, and promote effective workforces. Zach's primary research areas include hiring automation, performance management, and human resources management systems. Prior to joining Forrester, Zach directed product management and strategy, consulting, and implementation services at two leading human capital software and consulting firms. In those roles, he designed and implemented applicant tracking and performance management products currently in use by multiple Fortune 500 companies across several industries including retail, financial services, and healthcare. Zach earned a B.A. in political science and English from Hamilton College.
